I been on winning streaks and I everytime there is a Riven on the enemy team it means trouble for mine. I have seen riven vs jax, aatrox, diana, and garen. She gets 2 kill and then she is unstoppable. U cant catch her and her shield is ridiculous. I don't top, but I just want to know what other ppl think about this.

You just need to counter her like any other champ. The stronger you are in one area the easier you can be countered, especially if you are only strong in said area.
There are enough Champions who counter Riven's mechanics, Ryze, Olaf, Kennen, Pantheon, Fiora, Cho Gath, Yorick, and Lee Sin.
I took these examples from LoLCounter because I think they are true.
Also, you have to know how to play your Champion - If you're Garen, force her out of lane with your spin-to-win - and how to play your Champion against Riven.
-> She does that dash and slash trick, you rune prison her, fire a Q, walk back a bit and auto attack, so when she wants to do it again, you are far enough away.
Also don't push, because Riven may be mobile, but 1,2 Turret hits will still scare her.
Consider using brush, if you're ranged, or even if not. If Riven doesn't know where you are, it will be harder to poke you. But don't attack when you are inside the brush.
Not every champion who is very strong is exactly OP, they're just challenging and therefor good for your growth.
And if everything fails, consider maining or just banning her or any other champion you absolutly hate. That way you won't encounter them in ranked.

What you need to do is -harras riven as much as you can from afar, Usestuns on her and slows alot which will maximize your potential or killing her or beating her in the lane. Now perhaps your going Riven vs Aatrox its a good idea to use Blades of Torment from afar and when you have weakend her enough (less or equal health then you) Ignite her from the bush, then Jump in with Dark flight, (ignite her so if you go down to bloodlust youll have a good chance)she will he too stunned to make a move then slow her using Blades of Torment and Finish her off Wih your ult or Dark Flight again if its really Early Game. I am a mastered aatrox and have won COUNTLESS battles with him vs Riven Just always remeber to never give her a few kills early game it will ruin the whole match for you and your team... GOOD LUCK!

  • "Gank Riven, we are ok at mid/bot here."
  • "I should try to play defensive until my jungle came"
  • "I'm Quinn, bitch"
  • "lol Riven top, switch lane guys."

Ever heard anything like that?

I don't know if this helps a lot but I used a Diana against a Riven and poked her from afar with my Q as I had to stack up Armor and mana regen items just to keep up my cs. But champions such as Jinx have a great start early game especially cc with her E a Lissandra Top could work as well as long as you just poke Riven, instead of just having a 1v1 close combat. Poke and gather cs is all I can advise at this time.

She is so hard to kill at 40% CDR you can spam shield everyone 4th second, so basically you can not die.

Riven does have a high skill cap. A good player with Riven can be very frustrating to lane against, but it isn't impossible. The important thing playing against her, and any other champ for that matter, is to understand her mechanics as well as you understand your own. By knowing your enemy's champ, you can exploit their weaknesses, and this goes for Riven exactly the same as any other champ. Try playing Riven a couple times to get a better understanding of how she works.

I play riven allot and I know that there are a few champions that are very difficult to deal with such as urgot and singed

if she cant get close without taking damage she looses allot
