An Idea for the Lee Sin Retune
Well we all know that Lee sin is looking at a retune, not so much a rework but an adjustment of his current numbers. I am actually in favor of the intent behind the changes; to allow Lee Sin to scale better into the later stages of the game in exchange for making Ward hopping a more risk vs reward option.
Everyone argues that Lee Sin is one of the most balanced champions that can really show what a player is capable of, it's true. More often than not when I see a cool Lee Sin play I think how awsome the use of his mechanics were, not that he's broken.
but alas, Lee sin's unmatched mobility from 2 dashes that can both be used offensively or defensively plus a displacement ultimate has resulted in nerf after nerf and still he is considered a top tier champion, which is a testament to how powerful his kit can be.
I see the changes proposed as inevitable, but what I ask is, as much as possible, keep ward jumping a thing. It allows for cool plays, display of skill and defines the champions, perhaps all it need is a little more risk or a little more counter play.
My suggestion is this:
Allow Lee Sin to W to a ward for 50 Energy, however, dashing to a ward does not grant lee sin the shield from safeguard nor does it allow him to follow up safeguard with Iron Will.
The idea behind this is that Lee players will actively have to make a choice and weigh the pros and the cons, using it in combinations with wards for reposition or gap glosing gives you the desired mobility at the cost of duribility and the ability to fight head on. conversely, using it to come to the aid of an ally/get into a fight/defensively will beef you up and let you better fight the enemy at the cost of mobility. if needed the shield can be buffed to further defined the risk vs reward.
