ETA on unlocking all Champions for ARAM?
I keep getting these "random" team comps, which blow my mind based on the amount of CC the other team has. I would rather have a broken ARAM fix than no ARAM fix. Can't see how hard it would be to implement.

Just the prospect of rerolling twice and getting champions you don't own, have never played, or hate with the passion of a thousand suns... I don't see how anyone could even find that fun.

I tend to agree here. Imagine using both rerolls and getting a champion you've NEVER played before and don't want to? That usually leads to one of two things:
-Dodging and losing your rerolls
-Playing the champion and either not playing well and getting chastised.

Then learn all the champions, I know every champion. It's not hard to learn at all. It's called ARAM for a reason, but it's not ARAM if statistics are thrown into the equation and not everyone has all the champions. It then becomes just All Mid. If all champions were available to everyone during ARAM then it would be random. I keep going up against meta comps and it shouldn't happen, EVER on ARAM. The chances of it happening is so high that to even get a meta comp opponent multiple times shows how not random it is.
Before people made ARAM alts I held a 80% win percentage...not even joking. I took a break from LoL and ARAM, come back and I lost 22 games in a row at 1 point because people were using so many alt accounts with only 15-20 champions, maximizing their favorite champion based on a reroll. It made it completely unfair, and still is. I barely holy a 55% win percentage now. 90% of my losses now are because of my team throwing and not utilizing our ultimate's properly or just not caring enough to win. If you don't like the randomness, then don't play it's that simple. I have more fun in ARAM than in SR. You can control a ARAM game a lot better than you can a SR game.
...That's the point of random though...and to add how do you think the people fairly playing ARAM feel when someone makes an ARAM smurf with nothing but OP champions?
Player 1 was willing to take the risk of a champion they're not good with. They're forced to play with someone using likely one of the best champions on the map
Is that fair?
Reroll exists to lessen the blow of getting champions you're not comfortable with. It is not there to avoid it altogether!

I think it's an unequivocally sad existence to make an ARAM smurf but beyond that, it doesn't really affect my enjoyment of the game. People keep trying to interject the oddest forms of tryhardism into things like ARAM: unlock all the champions (which is probably never going to happen purely because it gives players less incentive to actually buy champions), ranked queues...
Of course, I usually play ARAMs with a group. Trading is significantly less of a problem and if I happen to get a champion I hate playing like, say...
then it's really a non-issue.
I own about 60 champions. If I didn't buy them, that's usually because I either haven't tried them (
) or tried them or hate their play style (most ADCs).
I'd totally support a separate queue for you folks who want all the champions unlocked though, abysmally unlikely as it is.

The thing is you're arguing purely on the standpoint it doesn't affect your enjoyment...but what good is a discussion if you can't at least see the fact that some people, even those who aren't tryhards...aren't going to have fun if they fight what they feel are slanted matches for reasons beyond "random"
Especially if it comes down to people finding ways to cheat the system, and get a "less than random" experience from the game.
Take the guy who came back months later only to lose most of his games. Is he a tryhard purely because he wants to stand a chance of winning a match? when you go from mostly winning to getting bashed game after game, in a mode that is by all means random...and therefore should not be so clearcut as to lose every game.
But at the end of the day, the problem here is you seem to argue against our side of the argument, but you can't even see it. You're arguing against the significance of our complaint rather than arguing why the idea itself is bad.
For example: You say that it doesn't affect your enjoyment of the game. But you still want everyone who wants unlocked champions in a separate queue. You even say you have a group to handle trading to avoid bad champions. But if that's all the case, are you saying that having unlocked champions somehow hurts your enjoyment in ways that the ARAM smurfs don't?
At this point, i'm mainly asking: If you don't care about the problem, why are you against our solution?
It's an appeasement, not a solution. And it's not a very realistic one, at that. At the very least, it doesn't address the issues that it will actually cause.
Take rerolls, for instance. Currently, points for rerolls are based on how many champions you actually own. Well, now all champions are unlocked. Should everyone have the exact same reroll points restored per match? That would eliminate what incentive there is to even own a champion outright, apart from being able to use a skin for that champion.
Hell, at that point, why doesn't Riot just make a fully unlocked ARAM a part of the rotating game mode thing instead?
What issue is it causing? It fixes the only proclaimed issue in this thread: All players use the same random pool, rather than some using alt accounts to sneak past it
This only eliminates such incentive in ARAM. Champs are not free in SR or Dominion. And unlike SR and dominion, you cannot outright choose a champion
How the hell did you come to that conclusion? What does any of this have to do with turning ARAM into a featured mode?
I think you're conflating issues a bit: do ARAM smurfs exist? Sure. Are they such a pervasive problem and in such upward population that unrestricted ARAM becomes the only logical solution? I dunno.
ARAM was originally conceived from players in the custom mode using the random button--which drew from a pool of existing champions. My point for #3 is that no, it's not even remotely the same thing if all the champions are unlocked. It's a hypothetical question, not a foregone conclusion.
In old ARAM if people didn't random or were obviously picking OP champions, you left the game, rehosted the lobby, and kicked people who did that.
In new ARAM you can't do that.
There comes a point when people call BS and don't want others to have fun at their expense. ARAM Smurfs are basically that: Having fun at someone else's expense. making a team knowing that you are likely going to have an advantage on your enemy.

You're missing the point, if all champions are unlocked for ARAM it would not HURT riot at all, if anything it would make people play SR more or ARAM to unlock those champions and play them in ranked. I have all the champions, and I get champions I hate all the time, do I dodge? Nope, I push through and hope to god they have a worse team comp than me. People have done the math and figured out the best opportunity to get what champion you want based on how many champions you own. Sure they might get a champion they hate every now and then from the free week, but it's still not RANDOM if you know or have a probability of the out come. If you did this in Vegas, you would be shunned because it's called, counting cards. Yet people use this type of practice in ARAM and it only hurts the game mode more and more.
Here's some math involved showing your chances of getting certain champions and why it's unfair to everyone else. http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:DocTanner/Why_ARAM_doesn't_feel_random
Read 'Table Example (Points 2-4)'
ARAM has nothing to do with SR at all. There are champions on ARAM that are OP but crap on SR, thus you can make an assumption that most people are terrible with said champion. With that in mind, what you said earlier about rerolls would be a simple fix. They would just remove the points given based on your champion pool and make it based on Win/Loss issues.
I know riot is working on a fix, even though they deleted the posts about it, I just wanted to know when they are going to fix it. Take Twisted Treeline for instance (3s), that game mode was dying back during Season 2 and wasn't very popular at all...Riot came to and fixed it while disabling it entirely for a few months (ranked). They came back and fixed it through specific champion changes, map changes and item changes. Did it effect SR? Nope, it's just another permanent game mode from Riot. My point being is balancing out ARAM will have no effect on SR at all and you are inflating your ego because you feel that it will, it won't.
ETA: Never
Just as you are told every time you (or some other lunkhead) posts this terrible non-suggestion.
Riot isn't going to abandon their business model. Not for ARAM, not for you, not for any (or every) other dimwit who begs Riot to abandon their established business model just for you.

Because their business model is what? Continue playing a free game and unlocking champions freely? Can't see how that would hurt their business model at all, in fact a change such as what me and others have suggested, wouldn't even hurt their "business model" as you so put it. No one knows their business model at all, for all we know they want to push another game and make us quit this game.
