[Champ "Rework"] Mordekaiser, the Master of Metal

Firstly, it would be cool if Riot at least glanced at this, but no matter what this is just my opinion.

Hey guys. So Mordekaiser is one of my favorite champions in the game. It's a shame that he is bad right now.

And while he is bad, chronic cc would make him OP, no? It would.

But it would be cool to add some cc to make him at least an average ranked pick.

Here's my "possible rework" (and I use "rework" lightly, as in more of a "tweak" sense):

Passive is fine.

Q - Mace of Spades would be the exact same, except that if it hits a single enemy, it's damage is increased AND it would stun/root for like a second. This would bring reward for hitting one enemy, theoretically.

(Good one by utDOOM) If he hits with many targets around, it slows all that are damaged instead.

W - Creeping Death would be the same as well, except, since it would technically be pieces of Mordekaiser going around to protect himself or an ally, it would give Mordekaiser a percent movement speed bonus, due to his loss of mass/weight/volume.

E - Siphon of Destruction would work the same way, except it would slow everything it hits. This, while being his main farming tool, should have some other purpose besides bringing up your shield so you don't die.

And R - Children of the Grave is already at its most powerful currently. If there were some effect that could occur upon cursing them, such as a 1-2 second silence, this ultimate could be even more powerful than it already is, with respect to balance, of course.

Please tell me what you think if you read this discussion. Thanks :).

I think that Mordekaiser is in a good place right now. He can easily 1 v 5 entire teams if he gets fed and builds correctly. Although, if his Q had a slow, it might be helpful. Buffing his ult would make him insanely OP though.

It was a bit demanding of me to assume an on-cast effect on ulting. Making an ability like that stronger would definitely make him OP. And now that I think more deeply about it, maybe the slow should be implemented on his Q. If it hits multiple targets. I said that it should stop them because, I mean, It's a giant metal morning star coming at you full force with no one around. It would kinda make a little sense to stagger them a bit, wouldn't it?

And what do you make of the W?

I guess your right that his Q should do something more than just do damage and slow. What if it slowed enemies when it hits multiple enemies, but snares for a really small amount of time, then slows the enemy afterward if it hits one enemy? His W could then steal speed from enemies' it hits, which would let him stick to an enemy. I think his E is fine right now as his main non-melee, damaging, shield building, farming tool. If he could slow entire teams with just his E and get alot of shield at the same time, (combined with the slows from my suggestions on E and Q) it would make him a melee range, super tanky, high burst, AP Ashe. (alot of AoE slows)

It seems like the main concept of this kit adjustment is adding a passive Rylai's to his abilities.

"passively adding rylai's to his abilities"

FTFY

Except that Rylai's only does 15% to his main abilities.

Ehhh... The Q stun/root to a single target seems a little off. Maybe if the slow was increased or doubled on a single target? That could work. I feel like Morde just needs a little more mobility. He has trouble roaming and sticking to slippery targets. I understand he is an animated hunk of metal, but anything that boost his mobility is welcomed.

Like the tweak for W says, if he uses it on anything, he gets movement speed.

The real problem is Mordekaiser cant stay next to his target long enough to deal all of the damage he needs. If you don't one shot someone then they get away and its even harder in team fights when everyone focuses you as you walk up to kill the carries. What is needed is a buff of his base movement speed from 340 to 350 to and some chasing power. The W adding movement speed would also be very helpful as I think the W change alone solves his only major problem
