(This topic refers to the new Dervish Blade icon brought to the game in the latest PBE)

Dervish Blade ( Dominion / Twisted Treeline ONLY )

50% attack Speed

45 Magic Resist

10% Cooldown Reduction

Unique Active - Quicksilver: Removes all debuffs, and if a champion is melee, also grants +50% bonus movement speed for 1 second ( 90 sec cd )

(Build: Stinger + Quicksilver Sash)

I am begging you Riot, as a longtime fan of VolibearVolibear and UdyrUdyr , PLEASE bring Dervish Blade to the Rift.

I know you guys may question my sanity, but it is not without reason. The item provides a much needed benefit to Volibear and Udyr that neither have otherwise. While I admit giving a QSS with an AS boost to ADCs might seem frightening, it's real use is clear: it gives Volibear and Udyr, neither of which are extremely successful on the Rift due to the huge amounts of CC and kiting, a chance to stand their ground on the front lines. It also would provide more than enough for SkarnerSkarner to make his way to a competitive level on the rift, providing him a 1-second boost to get to stick onto his targets. It's the sort of item the rift needs to help balance out options for top-lane as well.

Nothing bad could come from letting this be on the rift.

Everything can go wrong by providing more items for non-rift modes when there's already a drought of variety on the rift.

I have one singular problem with this plan: Diana

It would be nice to have the cleanse itemizing option for AP/AS champs, but this specific item is a dangerous road to tread good sir.

Actually, every team I've seen has been shat on by an Udyr or Volibear. Then again....

I'm not opposed to the idea of bringing it onto the Rift as long as they make sure to test it for balance in both the item itself and its stats but the pricing for it as well. I'm all for variety as long as the item doesn't break the game or have opportunities for abuse. (Not saying Dervish Blade does btw, just stating in general)

Don't get me wrong, it's an interesting item, but it reminds me too much of wriggles and wriggles is awful.

I upvoted. Only so long as it's an alternate path for quicksilver and does not replace scimitar.

Every AD champ can use the AD but not every AD Champ can use the AS.

If you have issues with kite as those champions, isn't golem spirit+swiftness boots cheaper? It makes you really hard to kite as well without outright negating abilities with the qss. I think making a qss a core item on anyone would be a horrible idea, it should be bought for the cleanse, not the speedboost, Youmuu's/swiftness boots/phage are for that already.
