Why Can't We Move Runepages?

I've been playing this game for almost 4 years now and I am astonished we still aren't able to move around our Runepages or Masteries. Players like me have well over 15 pages and Masteries with a ton of champions and playstyles wrapped around them,. Being unable to move and sort my Pages makes it difficult to keep track of all my various builds, as I like to keep my Jungle/ADC/Mage/Ect pages near eachother for easy recognition.

Problem is, when you break down a page for whatever reason, to make room for a new one or simply because you are not using it, it jumbles the order and eventually you are left with random Pages for Random playstyles.

My simple suggestion is to allow us to click and move Pages around, we already have a system in the Item Builder that allows you to drag and drop, why not this?

I hope they make a lot more improvements with the client after they revamp it.

Especially this one, recreating pages just to satisfy my organizational habits becomes annoying.

In the current system (you can only see the pages' numbers), a drag-and-drop style manual sorting would be kind of difficult. Giving them icons instead of numbers so manual sorting would be easier, or auto-sorting by names (same as the Item Sets' auto-sorting) would be great.

As someone who makes custom rune and mastery sets for each of the champs I play, I would really appreciate removing the 20 page limit for each, and allowing us to make rune sets for specific champions.

You know you can go to your rune pages and name them right? Probably not since you made this comment... Also if you want rune pages and mastery pages in a certain order then just make your rune pages and mastery pages in that certain order- its not difficult, takes a few minutes, sure, but it is not hard and at most will take you 30mins to do and simple task if you really want that kind of organization

It shouldn't be that difficult and it shouldn't take 30 minutes. It's just moving around numbers. I hope the programmers are busy working on a new client.

I do know it. see the image I put here (hope it is attached correctly). I admit readers can misunderstand my post. It's my bad.

"Ability to move pages" would take Rioters some time for coding, possibly very long even when they already have done something like that for Item Sets. I just have no idea how long "some time for coding" can be. But I'm sure of one thing: I personally prefer a 20-second drag-and-drop task to a 10-ish-minute "simple task".

It is something that no one honestly cares about, its not a function that is needed at all since there is a way to do it now anyways, and if people really cared about certain order they will just go ahead and do it- people that care are also not people who are lazy to do it

There is a third party program that enables you to move your rune pages and masteries but you have to give it your username and password.

Caveat emptor: While I have used it I can't attest that it won't steal your account. It was posted on reddit a while ago.

So there was a post a few days ago about them not (willing/able/worth the time) to fix bugs. If they are treating bugs that way i doubt they are going to do this before 2222.

To make them movable is a huge jump in programming. it is not a simple thing.

Like the idea though

I'd have to disagree. Although I am not a programmer (so wtf do I know), the fact is that all Rune pages are is a set page of stats that are numbered, how is hard to program it so things just get switched? We should be able to number or group them ourselves at the very least.

Runes and masteries are store server side. So changing things on your PC does nothing. You have to build a communication tool that works.

So you need to program an interface, Then get the server to correctly move(through copy and delete), then make sure your server can handle a write load of several thousand doing it all at once.

While those 3 things sound easy, programming is anything but that. Depending on how things were originally written and how stubborn Adobe Air is it may require a complete rewrite. This is part of the mentioned tech debut.

As you said you nothing about programming. So i would be careful expression opinions since they are not informed.

So then my other question still stands, instead of being able to move them why can't we number them or group them instead? Would that require more or less coding?

more. If you are asking for anything beyond static placement or interaction it will mean more programming.

Oh my goodness. I would seriously love to move rune/mastery pages around. It is not that big of a deal now as I got the hang of it after 4 years OR I simply don't care anymore?! I use to stare at my rune pages and this one damned rune page just doesn't look right since it does not fit the "ad portion (maybe the left end of the rune pages?)" of my 20 pages. I would go back and delete whatever is needed so the order of my rune pages are correct or looks organized in my sense. YES IT'S TRUE. Oh and if we happen to be able to move pages around, can we also organize our pages under certain categories such as AD Section, AP Section, JG Section, Hybrid Section, Troll Section, Test Section, etc...
