Those Maokai changes are lovely, but he still can't exist at high tier, even mid tier play because of Elise and Lee Sin. His early game clears are garbage still, maybe even worse now, but his late game is a terror and his ganks are great. Lee Sin and Elise's ganks are just as good if not better, their clears are fast and healthy, and they can counter jungle and duel far better than Maokai.

Yeah, their late game isn't anything compared to Maokai. But you are not assured a late game, you'll always have an early game and most of the times a mid game. So when it comes to the state of the jungle, Lee Sin and Elise will make it impossible for most others to exist in their current state. I don't think J4 is that great though in the jungle as plenty of people say he is, but he has some good stuff to him.He isn't a monster though. Evelynn is up there with Elise and Lee Sin, but she's very vulnerable to invades, unlike Lee Sin and Elise.

I'm mostly talking from a High level tier of play, but it applies to soloque as well if the people are smart and know how to punish you for picking a champion you like that isn't Elise or Lee Sin. : <

Udyr is also really good at clears, duels, and ganks. Not so much as Lee Sin and Elise, but he still makes Maokai's life hell.

So alas, unless they make major changes, our monstrous tanky jungle friends like Nautilus, Maokai and Zac still can't keep up with the 7 skill twigs known as Elise and Lee Sin. (

But there lies 1 hope for the tanky monster men. He clears fast, he has great ganks, he is lord of the duel, he's fast, he IS the one to be successful in place of his monster homies. He jungles godly in honor of his friends
