Look how bad Darius is now... no one plays him anymore, his counters can counter himself. You build full tank darius = no damage input from q,w,AA at all. Build tanky/dps = very squishy in team fight. Riot please bring back the old darius. He might be snowballing early game but late game he falls off very hard.
Darius is still extremely strong. I'm sure he feels weak compared to old Darius but that is because old Darius could pentakill a team at level 6 with nothing but boots 1 and a sunfire.
Darius is no weaker than he ever was. The problem is you just cant build him totally tanky and expect to deal damage. You NEED at least one pure damage item on him or he simply becomes a soak that can't even soak.
In the end its really just the players who either play him and play against him. This is a strategy game after all despite the many complaints and issues we all may have to what we deem powerful and weak champions. But at least it makes this game slightly unique.
Bud, don't expect a high damage Darius if you build tank, or vice versa. It's the same with any champ. You either need to balance your build or learn to compensate for the weaknesses behind pure builds. Don't expect riot to make him op just so you can pentakill at level 6 again.
