I have played this game for a long time now, and I never surrender. I do not hit no to be funny, and yes I will refuse to surrender even if we have no turrets and the nexus is exposed and we are down 30 kills. Because I have won games like that, and I know that no matter how bad the situation gets, if you still have your nexus, you still have a chance to win, and I prefer trying to giving up.
If the enemy team pushes into my base and they decide to prolong the game and not take the nexus, I don't view that as them wasting my time. I view that as them making a mistake that could cost them the game.
And sometimes my team still surrenders because the other 4 people want to, and that is fine. But I don't want to and that is why we have a vote, and luckily if I have another like minded person in the game, there will be no surrender, and we will remain with a chance to win until the game is over, and sometimes we win.
I think the surrendering system in the game right now is very fair, you need 4 to 1 vote in order to surrender, that is still disregarding the desire of 1 of your team members to try and win the game.
But maybe I am biased and a 3v2 vote would be adequate. Tbh I'll have to think on that.
Perhaps an option to report the enemy team for "throwing the game" in situations where they are refusing to try (prolonging the game when they can win) would be acceptable. But I don't see how they could actually implement this in practice.
I definitely also think there should be no way to report your team for refusing to give up. If it were up to me giving up would be reportable (not really) lol! How's it any different from leaving the game AFK?
