The soraka rework NEEDS, and this is how it should happen.

Fact: Soraka is virtually unplayable. Fact: Riot is okay with this because she's a problematic champion.

This is perfectly in line with Riot's policies on similarly problematic champions in the past. They have intentionally kept champions such as Urgot, Heimerdinger and old Evelynn below the power level of the average champion in order to maintain the health of the game. The unfortunate part of this is that it comes at the cost of the usability of one of the original, signature champions of the game; Soraka. Because of this, I feel like the right decision is to rework Soraka, and keep elements of the old kit. An interesting facet of Soraka is that there's two, completely distinct ways to play her; one focusing on being a passive W and E bot for your adc, and the other focusing on aggressive play using Starcall to keep the lane pushed, deter counter aggression, and win sustained trades. So, Soraka, It seems that you've been living two lives. One life, you're Thomas A. Anderson, program writer for a respectable software company. You have a social security number, pay your taxes, and you... help your landlady carry out her garbage. The other life is lived in computers, where you go by the hacker alias "Neo" and are guilty of virtually every computer crime we have a law for. One of these lives has a future, and one of them does not. I'm going to be as forthcoming as I can be, Mr. Anderson. You're here because we need your help. We know you've been contacted by a certain individual, a man who calls himself Morpheus. Whatever you think you know about this man is irrelevant; he is considered by many authorities to be the most dangerous man alive. My colleagues believe that I am wasting my time with you, but I believe you wish to do the right thing. We're willing to wipe the slate clean; give you a fresh start. All that we're asking in return is your cooperation in bringing a known terrorist to justice.

You lost me when you started talking about the matrix. Why not give some suggestions about what should be done to fix her?

I use to main soraka and cannot claim to be some master of the game, So please don't hate on me. With all the games I played with old soraka I agree her heals were alittle insane with the cd and amount, but this was in line with a pure support class. In my opinion since there are 2 ways to play her I believe you reduce her heal alittle more but increase the armor/mr(I understand her passive give mr but take that away and instead give passive life regain to nearby champions,or gives aura for breaking cc quicker by like 20%) buff from it and make it so starfall has a weak heal included for nearby champions. Everything else on her is pretty well done since the remake for proper balance but since she is such a strong support class these means her lane efficiency is lacking in the since that she has to choose starfall or one of her major support spells early game which hinders her compared to some other supports. A heal is all well and good 2 heals even better but still we are talking about so much heal reduction in the game now with items and abilities that kinda steer her away from being a decent choice.

EX: Soraka is picked in a ranked match, next you can guarantee there will be plenty of ignite and champions with this ability to counter the heal as well as new items for this as well. Also a heavy dmg cc lane will surely wreck with almost no chance for her to help scare away the aggressor.

With changing starfall to slightly heal at least she can feel safe getting a harass spell whilst still knowing her support role can stay up to par. A lot of little heals matter when your life is ticking down with nobody to help dmg with you. Plus most sorakas waste their ult to try and get assist, or waste it to heal one person from dying when just a small heal tap could have changed it all. IM not saying my plan is flawless but I think its a mechanic to help bring her back as a normal support choice without being so easily countered as well so easily out done by a pure damage lane.\

To recap. Starfall - dmgs enemies and heals champions slightly. Heal - slightly decreased if not the same give armor/mr buff. Passive - break cc 20% faster aura or slight life regain to nearby champions and minions.

SHE WAS A GOD FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, SHE USE TO MAKE LANES TREMBLE WITH HER SUPPORT, now she sits on the shelf and watches as people pick better supports or tankier on es that can actually stand a chance outside the clutch plays and really needs some better sustain.

What if starcall healed and did damage based on the reverse?
