Division Skipping

So I know it's possible to skip divisions (e.g. completing promotion series when you were at Silver 4 and getting promoted to Silver 2) but my question is this: Is it possible to jump from Silver 2 into Gold 5? Like, if I reach 100 points in Silver 2, will I enter a best of 5 if my MMR is high enough? Or do I have to go through Silver 1? Thanks in advance!

You can skip divisions, but you can never skip the first or the fifth division of any tier. Ex: even if your MMR is Gold 3 level, you still have to play through Silver 1, get promoted, then play through all of Gold 5--after which you will skip to Gold 3 where you belong.
