Role Based Summoner Icons

Greetings, Summoners. Valon Durey, here. Your resident player. And, I have another idea for the great minds at Riot Games. This time, I wanna suggest an idea for summoner icons. Ok, so I was looking at the following update info:

And, I noticed that they have symbols allocated to each role (Marksman, Mage, Support, etc). Now, I don't know about the rest of you lot but, I kind of identify with my dedicated role of support for my team, ChaosRing (you haven't heard of us. Yet). So, wouldn't it be kinda cool if we could project some Pride in our respective roles? And, I mean, they already have the icons drawn. Why not just add a little color and add them to the icon list? Just imagine an entire premade 5 proudly displaying their roles to the enemy team like saying, "Yeah, this is where I'm going. What are you gonna do about it? I'm the best top NA!" As always, I'm open to your ideas and opinions.

Do you not have a "red name"? Or is it just not super obvious on the beta?

I read your comment before reading your name, so I was slightly confused at first.

Thank you for pointing that out, to me. That was so low of him to pretend to be a Riot employee.

He isn't pretending to be a Riot Employee. If you hover over his name, it indicates that he does work as a Production Assistant. He simply doesn't have the "Red" for whatever reason. Maybe he's a new employee and the process isn't immediate or first time on forums. There are quite a few possibilities. It does feel sketch though.

There's been other Rioters who have been delayed in getting their red name. I think it's something that has to be done manually. I was genuinely curious if it was an issue with Community Beta though.

And as you can now see, RiotVeonneth has his red name now :)

For future reference, anytime you see Riot in someones name, they're probably working for Riot because that phrase is reserved for employees. (AFAIK)

I think it's really cruel that you would pose as an actual Riot employee and try to tease me, that way. That's very rude and, I hope you get punished for it.

I'd take this one step further. If you play as a champion 500 times, you should unlock their picture as a choice for your avatar. Rito plz, I want my Gangplank summoner icon already.

I think that would be a great idea. letting other player know what your best lane is on your team my top Fiora and my mid/supp Morgana

Sounds pretty cool. It would be good to see other icons that are more on the periphery as well (i.e. stuff in lore, unique icons, etc.), not necessarily just for specific roles.

Icons serve a lot of purposes for a lot of people, you know?

The Support symbol is actually pretty cool looking. I'd love to have that as a summoner icon.

It seems your idea may have worked. I just received what looked like a gift and it said "show off you pride as a mage with this icon" or something like that, but I can't seem to find the icon anywhere.
