Ghost Life Bars

Greetings, Summoners. Valon Durey, here-you're resident Heimerdinger player. I'm back with yet another suggestion for the great minds at Riot Games. This time, I have an interface-based idea geared toward making last-hitting a tad bit easier to do. Ghost life bars. Have you ever been farming lane minions and you couldn't see how low their health was because of your own overhead vitality gauge so, you miss that vital little 16g? Ever do that, like, 7 times in a row??? Annoying, isn't it. This proves especially problematic for melee Champions. My solution is simple. When you come withing vision range of any enemy unit, your overhead vitality gauge would fade to translucence, similar to when a friendly champion enters stealth. You could still sorta see it but, you can also see anything beneath it. When no enemy unit is in vision range, it would return to its normal glory.

Now I know some higher ranking players will see no real need for this and those with technical knowledge or less powerful machines may find this graphically taxing. So, of course, if this were to be implemented, it would be accompanied by an option to disable it in the game menu. Ultimately, i like options. Always have. The more choices you have, the better chance you have of creating a favorable situation. And, isn't the point of LoL to create a universally enjoyable experience? Surely.

Anyway, as always, please like, comment and vote upon this idea. And, feel free to give ME suggestions on both the idea AND my delivery. Also, I'm including links to my earlier posts, here, in reverse order of post:

Until next time, I am Valon Durey. This is my idea. "Fascinating, isn't it?" Heimerdinger

When I played World of Warcraft, I was in a fairly decent position on my server, and had no trouble finding raid groups in need of my services. In other words, I was good, although far from the best in the world. My only add-ons (for those familiar with the game) were DBM, Recount, and one for crafting recipes. I barely altered my UI outside of what was available in-game.

Point being, 9/10 other people would tell me "Oh you need to download AddonX and SupplementY because you'll do sooo much better with them." Needless to say, I didn't, nor would they have improved my healing abilities more than marginally. But to those who started the game with them (or rather, picked them up very early) were then obligated to continue to use them, as they wouldn't be able to perform to their standards if their UI wasn't what they were accustomed to.

The same can be said about this implementation, as well an any other purely-interface mechanic. Those pro players out there now would probably never turn this on, and not like it if they did decide to try it. But for newer players, or those not so adept with the game, something like this would do wonders for their mechanics. CS is a very important aspect of laning, and one that often needs worked on by summoners. Adding something like this would prevent problems, and help these new summoners ultimately do better. Better players = happier players, less flaming, and so on.

So yes, I'm for such a change, and would likely turn it on (or off, depending), at least to see if I liked it better. As the OP stated, options in-game are always a positive thing. Though there may be negative consequences for some, they can always opt to not include it in their gameplay.
