I started playing katarina and had Taric support. His ultimate can basically make me immune from cc and damage, so like, isn't taric very good with Katarina then? Why isnt there Katarina taric combo?
Tarics ulti doesn't make you immune to cc. Simply damage. IMHO Kat and Morgana is way better.

Because its katarina... Like, Honestly you're just as well to go with a Kat/Kayle combo
And even then, Its katarina.
Katarina can't really dominate as many gold incomes as Yi can, because what made Taric/Yi work was Yi's ability to farm the jungle AND a lane, get a huge gold advantage, and use his mobility and ganking power to take over the game. Taric was mainly used because his kit makes him naturally useful even when behind, and the fact that his ult works super well with a fed Yi is just a bonus.
Katarina doesn't have as strong an ability to jungle, and can still be stunned out of Taric ultimate, so she's not really an issue with him.
The first problem you have to look at with Katarina is that she isn't a hyper carry like Yi is. In fact, she falls off really hard late game because of her kill speeds. Secondly, Katarina lacks direct defensive attributes in her kit that are found in Yi's; after she engages with Taric ult, she has nothing to really rely on afterwards. Thirdly, she can't jungle at all; she's forced into a laner position.
