The reason Riot made mastery cost BE in the first place was because there really wasn't anything to use it on other than enchanting shards

So they merge BE with IP so you can spend it on everything

And with this change they increase the price on mastery upgrades, the thing that was originally just something to spend BE on because there was nothing else to do with it

also there was nothing else to do with IP for veteran players or just someone who has been playing consistently for 1 year then we got to buy urfwarwick and......... nothing else to do. huh i think i see your point bud.
