Just a thought on Kai'Sas ult

So i've seen the champ reveal and some gameplay videos of Kai'Sa and i think her ult is a little.. underwhelming.

Now hear me out: i dont hate the champ nor do i ask for a buff even. I just think it doesnt really do much for a 110 second cooldown ability.

Basically she can dash to whatever enemy champion with plasma stacks on them and gains a shield doing so. Its kindof like a Yasuo ult with lower range unless you hit them with a W and without the damage and knockup.

The only thing it does is dash you to the enemy and gaining a shield. Thats it. No dealing damage. Not unstoppable. Just a dash and a shield for 100 mana, every 110 seconds on lvl 1. Hell, the range is only as long as her W on lvl 3.

Actually, as i'm writing this i get the feeling the ult isnt nearly as powerful (or even unique) for it to be considered an ult. And yeah, Zoe's ult only teleports her a flash's distance for 1 second but thats on a 8 second cooldown.

Nocturnes ult for example makes him unstoppable whilst also dealing damage and being a point and click AND remove the enemy's vision. Now THATS an ult right there.

Forgive me for the somewhat little research i've done but can anyone explain to me why this ability would be considered ood enough to be an ultimate ability?

It's not an ult to use willy-nilly, it does a lot when used correctly. You can use it to dash to the enemy backline and eliminate their carry or support, or if an enemy flees you can use your ult to dash ahead of them and secure a kill. It's not meant to deal damage, it's meant to be a gap closer that provides a variety of uses beyond "press button, do damage." Hell, you can even use it to dash to an enemy from super far away, getting to a teamfight in seconds. It's like a Kindred ult in that it's meant to be a tactical move, not a flashy kill move. The level of tactical variety it brings more than makes up for the lack of damage, the rest of her kit gives that for her. Ult just lets her get to a better position.
