Should early game champs be punished for being early game?

They will obviously have the highest winrate, is it fair to balance them to have similar winrates as lategame champs?

Winrate analysis will always come down to showing earlygame champs having high winrate compared to lategame champs. So, using winrate argument against an early game champ doesnt make sense, though, in the other hand, lategame champs having a high winrate is a CLEAR problem.

I have seen people use winrate argument against Ahri, which is just VERY poor argument because she scales signficantly horrible to lategame and IS an early game champ.

Then you have Kassadin who has pretty high winrate right now, but not the highest. This is VERY much an indicator that he is massively broken. Early game champs MUST have a high winrate whereas lategame champs MUST have a low winrate.

Then if you analyze Ahri, she is quite balanced. She does not need any nerfs.

Not necessarily. You need to look at win rate over a game's duration. Kassadin wins way less than 50% of games that last under 20 minutes (according to League of Graphs looking at plat+ games). His win rate hits 50% at around 25 minutes and peaks at over 55% at 35 minutes before generally falling off past 35 minutes. This is according to his champ type. He scales into the late game and is very weak early game, if you can stall out a game for around half an hour, you reach the pinnacle of his strength.

Ahri on the other hand has a consistent 55% win rate up until 20 minutes then her win rate starts to fall off slightly to 50% until 40 minutes, then it plummets. Meaning she's consistently and incredibly strong at all stages of the game. If Ahri is supposed to be an early game champ, her overall win rate over a game's duration would fall off much sooner and would not be anywhere near 50% past 25 or so minutes, considering that the average game in plat+ is anywhere between 24 to 29 minutes.

just wanted to point (i'm not giving any opinion), that she have high winrate overall compared to champs in the game
