I find myself more and more disinterested in Missions

It's very probable that it's like that due to me having all the champions I'm interested in already purchased, or general lack of care about bonus visual stuff like skins, icons or emotes, but recently, with the Odyssey event, I realized that I don't actually feel like completing those missions. While it's true that I kinda dislike Odyssey game mode in general, my lack of interest still continued to current Worlds missions. Missions just feel way too "bloated", although I'm not sure if it's a correct word to use in this case. There's too many of them and they require way too much commitment, at least for me. Add to that somewhat questionable way Riot is portraying Missions' rewards with those silly Worlds Tokens and such.

I it were me, I'd try to design a bunch of simple daily missions, like "play a game with an X class of champions", or "deal Y damage to objectives", while also cutting on the amount of missions during events. Seeing "Completed 1 mission. 9 missions added" at the end of a random game in which I wasn't even aware that I'm completing a mission really doesn't feel that great.

I can agree that it seems a little odd how frequently missions are something like "place a control ward in a match made game" or "place at least 8 wards in a match made game"

We get it Riot, we need to improve our vision score. .. What else do you want to coach us on?

I like the idea of mixing it up by having class-based / role-based missions. Maybe they could do something like, play a match with 3 different roles (Top, Jungle, Mid, Bot, Sup). Or there could be role-specific missions. You're given 5 mission, one for each role, and doing one of the missions unlocks a different mission for that role.

For example, the jungler missions could be to counter jungle 3 large monsters from the enemy's jungle. One could be to Smite an enemy champion 3 times. One could be to kill the Rift Herald, Baron, or Elder Dragon in a match.

Other roles might have more overlap than jungle missions. There could be something along the lines of accumulating a certain amount of cs for each of the Top, Mid, and Bot positions and it is determined by the role you queue up for. Support could require that you complete a support item quest, or clear 5 wards with a Control Ward / Oracle Lens.

I'm sure their big-brain system could even identify if you are able to score a takedown with a roaming or teleport play.

Basically, I'm saying I think they should use this system to encourage players to expand their gameplay habits, as well as encouraging players to diversify the roles they play.
