Riot admitted to it everybody

They really do balance around flashy LCS plays.

"Another thing we generally try to avoid are extremely low-lethality metas for Worlds. A recent example of this is Tahm Kench—we expected him to have a very high pick rate and somewhat low ban rate. We think that at such a high presence, he degrades the quality of the play and viewer experience. As such, we reduced his early safety in patch 9.19."

As can be found on the new ask Riot https://nexus.leagueoflegends.com/en-us/2019/10/ask-riot-worlds-tokens-meta/

Riot: "we do try to make sure pro play isn't dominated by the same champions forever, and that super safe champions that degrade play aren't always the best choice"

players: "ROIT BALANCE FOR FLASHY LCS"

this is exactly why companies don't communicate often with players.

ok and?

the lcs is for entertainment to have people watch, which would bring in more money from companies wanting to by ad time during the games which makes riot money.

its like any other professional sport, NFL they really handcuffed the defense and it allowed and open up the passing game, hence why we see QBs throwing for 50 tds a season and 5000 yards now. points/flashy sale

just as people cry that the tank meta was boring and made the game to slow, same was in the NFL in the past , when games were 13 to 17 all the time. now we have 27 to 31 non stop. or hell 55 to 40 like the Buccs vs the Rams a week ago.

Nothing new here, Riot hasn't made changes for balance in years,
