Champion Shard treatment to Skin Shards?
I sort of like the idea whole, a champ shard gives you a discount to purchase x champ from the shop.
Is there any reason why we can't use a skin shard to buy a skin from the store, with RP, for a discount?

Riot would lose money from their only source of income if that were the case. Champions are available for BE because they're required to play, but this is a F2P game, giving you a means of obtaining them without any cost. Everything else is cosmetic, and like I said, their only source of income, so they don't throw out discounts / free skins lightly. It cuts into their profit. Gotta remember, Riot is a business first and foremost.
