I got RP from Riot, for what?

I was playing ranked TFT waiting for the anniversary riot pls to start, and as I exited a game all of the sudden I had a notification saying that I received Riot Points from Riot Games, and I don't know how or why.

If I helps, I've been playing since season 2.

Played with a rioter? I have 3 on my friends list, one found me very sportsmanlike, and gave me like 4k riot points when we met.

Same thing happened to me but it was when I logged in. I have no idea what caused it but I'm cool with it. Got 1k RP, or something right around there.
