In theory, would it be possible to have grandmaster MMR in Iron?

It's my understanding that dodging does not reduce MMR, but it does take away LP in ranked. If you were to maintain a high winrate in the games you played but consistently dodged enough games to counter your LP gains, could you in theory achieve a grandmaster level MMR while having an Iron rank? I'm wondering if there's any kind of cap on your MMR linked to your rank, but as far as I know there's no link between MMR and rank, besides LP gains and losses. I wonder if eventually with that much of a disparity between your MMR and visible rank you would earn 200 LP from a single game (The maximum possible negative LP is -100 so for this system of dodging to avoid ranking up to become impossible you would have to be at a point where you earned 200 LP in a game). I think that is unlikely, so from what I can tell, it would be possible to have a grandmaster or higher MMR in Iron. Any thoughts?

Possible? Probably. Feasibility is the real issue, what with the escalating timer for dodging getting bigger ans bigger, followed by secondary queue timers appearing and stacking.

I don't think so, at some point you would go up an entire rank in 1 game, and it wouldn't matter how much LP you lose via dodge.

Hard to know without having details about mmr and Lp algorithms. put it in ask riot, how far can my mmr be from my rank?

AFAIK it's not possible anymore. It used to be possible since you could dodge promos and maintain a high winrate (and keep your MMR increasing), but at this point you'd win 1 game and gain obscene amounts of LP + skip entire divisions whenever you got to where promos would be.

I imagine you would skip some promos and divisions if you have grandmaster MMR... maybe silver or gold is more possible?
