What is the best support and their runes right now? Prefer mage supports.
I honestly give up. I want to just get back to this game so I can forget the garbage I've been in.

Overwatch with its shitty literally 3 support roster. I am done.

Mage supports that rely on harass like electrocute and aery.
Predator is way underrated right now for roaming supports with late game flank initiation ability.
Transcendence was designed in response to support items and can be abused by all champs ATM.
Zombie ward is OP.

If your support is not about damage (soraka, rakan, taric etc) Cleptomancy and improvisation in general has some great deals.
Long story short - lotsa free stuff to help you stay in lane (potions, wards) and not fall behind in gold (free boots, free biscuits, free stopwatch if you want).
Pix's attacks can proc Aery, so that's even more of a reason to take her on Lulu.
Play Janna with Aery and AP. You will realize the true potential.

What elo are you? If you are lower elo go zyra or lux and build as an AP mid.
I'm pretty sure Brand + Aery is fairly good, if you stack up your passive you can proc Aery multiple times.
I played a disgusting double comet lane as Zyra + Jhin
Refering to cybersport people they think such supports as Lulu or Karma should be good, because of Aery
Vel'Koz if you want a mage support as in damage support.
Typically, I choose either Zyra or Morg. Their zoning pressure and uninteractiveness makes them both really annoying to play against for most enemy supports. While being able to keep a safe distance and avoid risking counter-engage. You can also give Brand, Malz or Annie a try, although Annie does sorely miss her 625-range autos...
Take either Aery or Klepto, they both feel really strong and good to use.
