Veigars New Visual Effects miss the point of Veigar

Veigars new SFX don't feel like veigar, they feel like reused dark star effects. Veigars In game fantasy is that he is a saturday movie evil villain, and his old effects (which are clumsy looking as hell) gave him a more cartoony atmosphere which just feels right for veigars character. I'm saying revert the effects, but It would be nice if it felt less SERIOUS EVIL and more like: Oh, those spell effects look like something a power-puff girls villain would have.

Veigar's personality is Saturday Morning Villain, but his ability theme is cosmic stuff. The only thing I see wrong here is the R. It's too subtle. The only way I could tell that wasn't Baleful Strike is the targeting indicator, and I had to watch it like 3+ times.

I usually use skins when I play Veigar tho.

But what the fuck is that R animation? It looks worse than Q

Well to bad, Rito doesn't care, no matter how much you love a champion, its visual design, character and lore along with things such as effects. Rito will do whatever they want and not listen to any feedback unless it's mindless fanboy worshipping.

These are really just band aids for champions who need a relaunch.

This is just a way for Riot to keep pushing back the inevitable a little longer. "They don't have to relaunch Veigar anytime soon, they just updated his effects," they tell themselves.

Maybe next time they will add a few voice lines, maybe tweak how his meteors work, just to not have to update the champion.

I highly disagree. Veigar, while comical, is most definitely a serious villain. Any bad guy who isn't Heath Ledger's The Joker levels of dark has to be a joke? Why?

They killed him with the new visual and sound effects last year

they can break his stats, his balance... i still always played him because i had fun with all the loud sfx, no matter the E nerf and having a hard time in game.

And now the meteor just feels like pigeon droppings, the loud BOOOM is gone... not to mention his new R which is even less visible and audible than his Q

And rito politics towards custom skins went austere recently, can't use the old graphics ans sounds safely anymore
