Doesn't really change the other anti consumer shit they are doing to be fair, but whatever.

lmao they are so desperate to sell your information to china that they are willing to give you free games.

Pathetic.

Like you haven't downloaded countless spyware already

This one at least gives you free games that you'll probably never play

I have my own ways of getting free games that doesn't involve spywares Gangplank

Its not free if it forces you to install the garbage that is epic store.

Also epic sucks.

I would rather buy the game than install that spyware.

games? you mean borderlands 3 and fortnite? what else is even on there, they don't have a search function so i can't tell

I'd probably hop on, redeem any free games, then close the launcher until I happen to have the desire to play those games (and remember that I have them there).

Steam is simply the superior client.

At this point it's extremely unusual that I'm going to buy any game off the launcher itself anyway.

Between the Humble Store, Chrono.gg, and the all encompassing deal search isthereanydeal, the only games I actually buy now are from these non-launcher sites unless it's one of the extremely rare few that I'm excited enough to buy on release or steam is the source of the great deal.

And in those deal sites I see steam keys far more often than any epic key (if epic is even listed at all).

After years and years of picking up various bundles and games on an extreme sale, my library is packed with enough games to last me a lifetime. The convenience and functionality of the steam launcher trumps pretty much any sale that the epic launcher could give.

I'm buying my steam games on really good sales anyway from those other sites.

So sure, good of them to give some free games. They're trying really hard to make their service popular. But they made an extremely bad name for themselves starting out when they had Borderlands 3 and some other titles sign exclusive contracts forcing people to use their launcher if they wanted to play those games.

I'm not going to give them any business.

Free games I can't play anyway? Hell yea.

You know, I would use their client a bit more if it wasn't absolute fucking shit that doesn't even run properly. Before anyone comes and says "mUh ePiC hAtE", THIS is what my client looks like (and it doesn't change whatsoever): https://i.gyazo.com/8b046dd95faaf224dfa3b9141439bcdb.png

They make Fortnite, right? I'm not touching that with a 10 foot pole. I'll take my Steam tyvm

I stay away from epic and steam they are both crap.

Shame Capcom doesn't want money from people who want to play new resident evil 2 on pc without having to buy on steam(drm).
