For christmas I was given a 50$ League of Legends gift card. Even though it costs 50$ if you get it from a store, buying RP directly from the client is the only way to be awarded bonus RP. For example, I was given 5350 RP from the gift card, but had I used 50$ on the client, I would have gotten 5350 + 450. I think prepaid cards should be awarded bonus RP.
Why? Riot has to pay the processor of the cards a fee for the use of their "technology" and infrastructure, and furthermore, the card company that makes them doesn't even get the full amount because stores are allowed to make some profit on them.
Obviously, when you give Riot 50$, you should get more RP than when you pay $50 to a third-party card and then Riot only gets, say, $45. That's why it's bonus.
Not sure what you're talking about, but i got 3 $10 prepaid cards for league, and i used them. If you normally use a Debit card you get 1300 + 80 (the extra) for $10. I used the league gift cards, and i got 1380 rp every time i put a code in. I still received my "extra" rp.
Oh? I thought Bonus RP was just discontinued. Now i'm kind of bummed about this Walmart gift card I just got because I know there's a bonus i'm missing out on.

Um.. what? $50 in the game makes 7200RP, which is 6500 + 700 bonus.
