leuge suing for copyright breach due to similarities of another game? but then one of the characters

but then one of the characters of league imo has a lot of trait copy's from an old game from Sega. when ekko first came out i could not help but think about echo the dolphin from Sega. and i find it hard to believe that they did not get the idea for ekko from echo the dolphin. hell the guy is covered in water stuff and im sure he has some kind of dolphin move as well. so i just find it funny that league is suing another company due to similarities when they themselves could be doing the exact same thing, but just covering it up better. any thoughts?
