I'm unranked and have never played a ranked game before !!

Regardless of that , on my first ranked game I got paired up against Plat elo . The match which I fed very badly .

Then I tried 2 more ranked games , hoping that the game will realize how bad I evidently was and finally place me in my own rank range .

Sad to say that it didn't happen , instead I ended up feeding 2 more matches and probably received a couple reports on top of that .

Curious as to why I am being placed in these queues when I'm clearly not a match for these players .

You have no ranked MMR to speak of, so the game kind of softballs it to see where you go.

Right now, plat is the new gold

Yeah the game - in placements - will put you with different people and should adjust as you win/lose games. Don't get down on yourself, just keep playing and trying your best and you'll end up in a good spot where you belong :)
