What is the story behind your summoner name?
Mine comes from D&D. We were in the underdark and we found some Hook Horror eggs, they hatched and one imprinted on me. I named him Gregory. He was a good boy.

Well, you see, Nidalee pounced on me from the fog of war one time, and I had a rather awkward reaction...

And I don't even regularly play Overwatch.
guess
Tribute to Akasha from DotA (the Warcraft mod) and also representative of how I like large breasts and consistently play female champions/characters.
No idea.
I tried a TON of nicknames but they were all taken so I gave up at last ;)
I worked for a while near Klagenfurt in Austria where there's a statue of a dragonlike creature named "Der Lindwurm". It's sort of the mascot of the city.
According to legend, it lived in that area long ago, terrorizing the inhabitants and devouring virgins, until Hercules came from Greece to kill it.
I started using it as my handle everywhere because it's never already taken.
It was from a Runescape quest. My character was given the name Jikkir, but that was taken when I came to League so I changed the i to e and tada
Its my name. [sg-lulu]
I thought of something really dumb, and I liked it
I like pears.
I'm antisocial basically.
I've always had a habit of being social as I please, but especially in a game like League there's basically never any time to talk.
Death God, God of Death, Overlord, Ruler of Life, Death Singer, Dark Dealer, Controller of Life, etc. were all taken.
I had a previous name that didn't really make any sense, so i had to came up with a new one, which is the one you see now.
I RNG'd "Knight" when i was picking nickname for my show about video games in academic radio. And the "Green" part kinda became my second identity at my University, because i used to wear neon green hoodie whenever i was operating audio and video systems at various events around the campus. Ah, good times they were :D.
its just the name of a band i like tbh
When i first started back in 2010, I wanted to go Loli Knight, but that was taken, so I went Loli Crusader because the idea of a chibi in full knight armor sounded adorable af.
17 year old me didn't fully realize the connotations of the name for a long time and that "loli" and "chibi" weren't the same thing. Not even close.
Years pass. I went MIA from the boards for a while and missed the "Great GD Loli Purge."
I returned to GD and a lot of people were like, "Why the fuck hasn't this degenerates name been changed?"
I defended it for a while saying chibi and loli were the same thing. I was a dumb fucking weeb.
Don't know what finally changed my mind, but I realized that name wasn't appropriate and needed it changed ASAP.
I appealed to Riot and they told me "lol nothing is wrong with the name."
Fuck that noise. I dropped money on the name changed fee the very next day.
I didn't wanna be a Crusader anymore, and going back the original knight concept, Chibi Knight was also taken.
Thus Chibi Templar was forged from the fires of degeneracy.
So, in wrestling, there's this move called a "lariat". Basically, the lariat is a professional wrestling move where the fighter wraps their arm around the opponent's upper chest and neck and then forces them to the ground. A few fighters in Street Fighter use a variation of the move, where they spin their body around hoping to hit someone.
This move is thought to be the origin for the song Double Lariat. The video for the song was originally posted on the Japanese site Nico Nico Douga. The video is in .swf file format, in other words a Flash Animation instead of a Flash Video, which allowed thing such as the girl in the video to continue spinning even while the video was paused. The two characters from Street Fighter make appearance in the video through easter eggs only possible because of this.
I was really into Vocaloid in middle/high school, and this was one of my favorite songs. It's a beautiful song about working hard to achieve your dreams. So, incidentally, I was also very into Neopets in Elementary school, before I moved to my current home. When I started playing again in high school, I decided to name my pet Lariat. That name was taken … I ended up doing variations until I came to "Larrietto" for him.
So, having forgotten how to spell "lariat", since the only exposure I had to it for years was my pet, I named myself "Larriet" in 2016 when I made my account. Incidentally, I also named my horse in Breath of the Wild Larriet. I like the name; I think it's pretty.
pretty self explanatory >:)
If it existed today, the fortnite community would be the first to go.
I wanted to be as close as having the name Sona as possible. I'd say mission accomplished.
causing suppressed giggles since 1979. Ever heard of Naughtius Maximus?
The tears of an enemy top lane tristana bullying my renekton until I camped the shit out of her gave me a hard on. For a long time since then, I camped nearly tilted people (loss streaks in match history, feeding lanes to make them feed more, or already cancer lanes like nasus vs jayce), make them go full tilt and enjoy the drama while bming in all chat to fuel it even more. Didn't do it to win, just did it for fun because I'm a douche and proud of it.
Since I liked camping so much, I wanted to make myself as comfortable as I could so I decided to buy a tent... and make the enemy laner pay for it.
My name comes from a time when green wards were in the shop and the control wards were invisible and called vision wards... I used to ward a lot.
hmm
I used to be a massive consol player and the name I had there had my real name. As I grew older I hated it more and more since I didn't want my name out there. Eventually, I chose to change my name and I googled funny usernames. I ran across one called Around 99 Ninjas and I loved it. I went with Arouns999People because in those days I played halo and it was like "You killed Around999People" "Around999People committed suicide" "You splattered Around999People" and it was hilarious. Stuck with it ever since
This was the name of the character I 100%ed Oblivion on.
Trolling is an art, and I consider myself an artist.
My summoner name used to be Malgoradinasta because I was not interested in this game at all. It is the first thing that popped into my head. My friends kept bugging me about it because they wanted a 5th person. Played it for season 2 on and off. Next thing I knew I kept playing it a ton Season 3 and ended up liking it. Then I changed it to New Knees because I had surgery on my knee. Probably need surgery on my other knee as well, but America.
Mad Jim Jaspers
Well....I'm a Lego builder so yeah. My Instagram name use to be "king Lego". But i'm currently thinking of changing my username to "I am the Lego" or "Lebanese Vel'Koz". The amount of BE to collect will be a pain.
Didn't really care to make it up. Picked up one of my favorite class+discipline from swtor. The fun thing is I no longer play swtor, but now use this nickname almost everywhere.
Lightning can't make a shadow because it's pretty much just electrons emitting a lot of photons yet here I am.
I like pokemon : ^)

My Real name is Raydy which is pronounced Righ-dy so after hearing a lefty joke every time I introduce myself I decided to own it and created LeftyRaydy
Back in 2007-ish, I was making my first shaman (troll elemental fyi) in World of Warcraft. My then boyfriend, now husband was helping me think a summoner name. Everything was taken, taken, taken. I was at the point of not caring anymore and decided to just use the name of an ingredient within the coffee/protein beverage I was drinking at the time. Soyprotein was born. It has been my summoner name is just every game I've played since.
I wanted to make the most sexualized Taric name I could without getting banned. Also "Fondling" is just a fun word to say.
My comes from the Idea that an army of
s have to stop giant
s From consuming the world. The only thing that is saving the Summoner's Rift is giant walls one from
, and inner one from
and the final one from
.
My name comes from Dota 2's Lich lore, in where Ethreain, the lich's first name, gets betrayed and or ambushed.
So uhhh quite an awkward story here...
I used to play a warlock on WoW called 'Spellbane' and my name would sometimes get typo'd as 'Spellbabe' which I always found kinda funny. Anyways when my friends started playing League I really wasn't interested but they were persistent in getting me to try it so I relucantly agreed to make an account and stubbornly called myself Spellbabe as I was sure I wouldn't be doing more than a couple games and never touch the game again.
Turns out I really liked the game! I kinda regretted not picking a more serious name though, but then I ended up playing with some guy in one game and he was really friendly.... "Too" friendly. After doing a few more games with him and with him constantly making not-so-subtle advances towards me I realised that yeah... Probably about time I change my name, I had to break it to the poor lad that I was actually a guy irl, strangely enough he didn't wanna play anymore games with me after that. :(
So in the end I just went with a character I loved from the ace attorney series. I can probably count on my fingers how many times anyone has made a comment about it in game, but it always makes me smile when they do! :]

Mine comes from the fact that I main healers in every MMORPG I play, I was nice and gentle till I started playing this game, the state of League for the last couple years made me pretty toxic lol. (the bad state of this game is why I quit, I play a match or 2 every couple months so I can call bullshit when people say the game is improving.)
Played wow alot as a teen, first 60 was a tauren shaman named Bularnek, friends and guildies just called me bul for short, it stuck ever since.
my name is alexander IRL backward its rednAXEla
My actual Internet Name, Coronis Kitchen is (Coronis) based off the lover of Apollo and (Kitchen) my last name IRL.
my League name is because I'm a Caitlyn main.
I came up with this name as a personal Character a while back, and have used it for just about everything (icluding D&D)
My name used to be KJTsuki, Tsuki meaning moon in Japanese (which I think sounds cool and I just love the moon) and KJ being an old real life nickname. I changed it to ForgetMeNot where ForgetMeNot is my favorite type of flower but also being forgotten is like my biggest fear so yeah.
I was born with it and I wrote this name in.
Saw it in a video a long time ago. Tried to go for this one originally but it was taken so I was stuck with 3 for a while.
