Did EA buyout Riot?

I've been on this game since 2012 through multiple accounts but this is just a new low. This blatant greed and garbage balancing has never before been so obvious, the Blue Essence is a worse system as many of my priors have stated with it taking EVEN LONGER to stockpile the needed amount to obtain the funds needed! Combine this was the shoddily made rune system that turns the game into "Who can output more damage in half a second" and it has been rendered to easily the worst state it has ever been!

Almost as if the devil himself grabbed LoL, making it ran by focus groups and corporate goons

Let's be real: This game should be at the end of it's lifespan by now. And considering that there are a handful of viable competitors out there now, Riot can't afford to act like they are the only game in town anymore. Upending the proverbial table like this is not a smart idea when players have other options to migrate to.

Lets be honest:

You're only gonna end up buying the champions you know you're gonna play, And probably a few more to fill in that "20+ champ" Gap.

As right now, You dont need to pay for Runes anymore, Meaning that all that BE you complain you cant stockpile aswell is only used on champions (And rune pages if you can be bothered to spend like 30 seconds swapping them in during champ select, Or spend days of grinding (Or like 20$ for 7 of them) To get them).

Also lets not forget that in the end, This wont end Riot. I for one think that the Runes were a Neccisary change for decent balancing, And while it is preseason, they will be changed, replaced, added onto and removed from throughout several more seasons.

And i guess the level up rewards are kinda stupid, But i wont know for like another month when i decide to make a new account and stress test these changes from level 1.

I suppose we should ignore the Hextech system. Which allows players to collect rewards simply by playing matches and gives players the opportunity to get skins, wards, champions, and icons for free which they would otherwise have to pay for. The end of season rewards, Honor rewards, and the occasional thank you gift from Riot.

Not to mention updated items, splash art, reworked champions, and new game modes all provided to us free of charge. A new Rune system that offers all the runes for free rather then costing BE or IP. And with the removal of the level cap we will receive level up rewards simply by grinding and playing the game.

Or the freaking fact that everything required to climb to the top of the competition ladder can be obtained without spending a single cent. Riot is a game company and the purpose of the business is to be profitable. They have a right to make changes to increase their profitability. And it won't bother me so long as it doesn't stop me from enjoying a match or being able to improve. Its not greed, its good business that is still catering to the customers.

As of now the only thing to spend on BE is champions because you can't buy runes anymore. Still the way you get BE is the worst part of the system. You have to get BE every level up and leveling up should get slower as you level up. So the rate you get BE is slower. I feel like the new player experience is now a different problem entirely. Now leveling up and getting the champion you want is up the the dice roll or playing games endlessly to play something.

For veteran players. BE is still kind of useless after this new shop closes. What are they going to spend BE after 2 months have passed.
