The reason league of legends will never die

Yes you heard it. Well all video games die eventually right? League of legends is different. They way this game was created, there is no story line, or multiplayer, there is no "I reached level 138 and have every item in the game", theres no finish. Ever game is 20 to 40 mins long, 5v5, you or lose. Riot created a sport with their ranking system. Fortnite doesn't have this, so they well never reach league of legends level. You play this game to compete. Let's be honest, none of us play solely because we HAVE so much fun playing this game. We play to win, and we have fun getting better, and improving the ranks. This game will never die. Just like how basketball, soccer, football, have been around 150 years and never died. This game won't either. The champions are evolving, the map is evolving, the runes are evolving, yes change is difficult to handle... players get hit with nostalgia all the time. Even I miss fervor of battle. However, this game has been around 10 whole years. It's going to keep on updating and changing. We're going to have to keep adjusting. Change is hard, but this game wouldn't be where it is now, had it not changed since the beta. League of legends will never die, simply because... legends never die. As a player base I think we should start embracing it for those who stay. We should expect that there will be changes, and new mechanics, and crazy champions added to the game. We could either be angry and upset about it, or we could embrace it. Let's be honest, a lot of us play this game and it is our favorite. This game has built such unique culture, that no other game has ever built. Because this game has been around for so long now, and it shows no signs of slowing down. yes riot will make some mistakes, but this part of long term relationships, there are the ups and downs. And because we love this game so much, most of us still stay around.
