picture this you queue up for an aram game and get into champ select you have a champ you are OK with but you see someone on your team has one of your favorite champs to play you send the trade request and the timer goes out and the trade is cancelled ok maybe they were changing music or just diddnt see it so you ask them in chat if you can trade and express how much it would mean to you you await a response from them as the timer goes down till the game starts 15 seconds left you start to panic because you were really counting on them swapping with you because of your heartfelt message about your champ you try another trade to see if they are paying attention now it goes down and the trade is cancelled its too late to re-roll and change runes

the least people could do is decline the trade or just say nah i dont wanna trade dont leave everyone in the dark

On the contrary, they aren't obligated to even respond to you lol. Sure it'd be a nice thing to do but as far as being obligated to do so, nope. It is your own fault for putting those expectations on other people. Don't blame them for your lack of personal initiative.

Don't ever expect anybody to trade and change your runes for the champ you have at that point, especially if the champ you want is considered op in ARAM. I often don't decline trades because I'm in the process of changing my runes and don't want to close the window. If you try again after that I either decline or say no in chat unless you ask nicely. I hate when people ignore trades, surrender votes etc. too though. It's not that hard to press a button. The only exception to me is when people want to trade too late. If I haven't seen the trade pop up until after I've changed my runes I will tab out and just not notice. But tbh I find it even more tilting when people expect you to trade with them. Let's say you get a really good champ and people won't stop trading until the timer runs out, that's just rude. I will decline every champ ONCE, if you keep trying after that I won't decline anymore because I've already done so and you should know that I don't want to swap.
