I talked to Tundra Fizz and Riot Keyru and they gave me permission to make a board post with this topic.

In a lot of different board discussions, I see Board Moderators and Board Admins not only misuse their power but also say many offensive things to the members on these board. When the Community Mod program first started, the mods were very respectable but I now lost almost all my respect for them because they constantly take away our rights. I do not think that Board Mods should be able to post any more on our boards unless it is Rule related or a boards member is asking them a Direct question. I am tired of favoritism when a board mods personal agenda is more important to them then their duty to serve us board members. Let us take back our boards from these mods. These are our boards, not the Mods!

Please upvote and support this post with me to fight against the mods that have taken away our boards and banned honorable members of the boards such as CLG Ear and Dragon Trooper Beta!

I'm alright with them being allowed to talk here, actually have some personality and not be mindless drones?...

It's kinda the reason we went from silent Rioters, to the only talking Curator rarely talking Puff and crew third party mods to the community mods we have today

I agree with you in that it's better than having them being silent enforcers; but I found a point of OP that I feel accurate, and that was the favoritism that some of the mods tend to show.

Not gonna list names; but I do agree that if you're going to volunteer to be part of the management group, you can't (shouldn't) be applying partisan emotions.

EDIT: I just mean in reference to doing their jobs as moderators. They're still allowed to have opinions and make stupid posts as part of the community.

It's not like you made this post in a factual way, though. You used the Argument from the First Amendment. Not sure if it's an official fallacy -- it's more like comparing someone to Hitler -- but it's in there in my book. First Amendment rights don't hold necessarily in private businesses. Riot can censor you and ban you if they want to. If they are deliberately targeting you, then go to Riot support for a second chance, but even then it's not like you can't play the game.

The Mods should be allowed to be stupid. Should they get punished for it? Yes. But it's a basic human thing, and it's not entirely preventable. Them being in a superior position doesn't necessarily make them immune to mistakes or flaws, or even better than us.

What? I was not saying mods are "automatically correct" because they're in a higher position of authority.

I'm just saying that they should keep their ability to have an opinion. The opinion is just an opinion, not automatically right. Same as with anyone else.

Mods only count as one vote though. What you are saying is just completely irrational. There is no such thing is "boards membership". The only requirement to post here is that you have a league account at a certain level and you haven't been banned from the boards.

That's what you get for overgeneralizing. You have still yet to iterate exactly what right of Ear's the mods violated as well as what that right is derived from.

Ear has a history of not shutting up. He threw a tantrum on GD because he disagreed with a moderation decision and instead of taking a hint, he persisted. As he has done this in the past, including getting banned from the moderation discord for the same reasons, he was given a 14 day ban.

There is no right to act like a brat.

This is coming from someone who was permanently banned on GD 1.0 for participating in a group protest over a moderation action (with no prior bans or warnings).

Society places a far greater restriction on our freedom of speech than the government. Even though you won't have any legal issues, you may find your friends distance themselves from you or even get refused service for such behavior.

That's the greatest thing about the free market is that we have the choice to decide who we do and don't serve! Riot has that ability as well... The OP just cant see that.

You do know that on these boards we are not governed by our constitution? we are governed by the Terms and Use.

I love my rights, and I am willing to fight for not only my right to say what I want but others as well! I will even fight for others to say things I don't agree with because I value free speech.

But these are the League of Legends boards, they span many countries.... So riot made their Terms and Use.
