I Sold My Item Somehow...?

I was playing a game of and bought ROA fairly early in the game. When I went to buy components of Lich Bane a while later, I walked back into lane not noticing that somehow my ROA had just disappeared out of my inventory... Is there some way I could have sold it on accident without clicking the item and clicking sell? This really upset me as it made me completely useless for the rest of the game. [zombie-nunu-bummed]
