For the first time since 2006 (I think that was the year I heard in the radio), the news reports that this Halloween will be dry. Ugh. . . that means trick or treaters at my doorstep. Once Halloween comes, I'm gonna have to keep the lights off and the house quiet again. I miss the day where I once went trick or treating as a fire fighter. But that was the only time I ever went trick or treating. Instead, we just go to parties and eat delicious meals. Now those are the treats I go for. Orange Chicken, hotdogs, egg rolls, and Fried Rice. Mmm. Delicious.
My Fantasy Nature #4: The Monster in Silence
"I wasn't sure if it was a good idea to show them that tape. There's a higher chance that some of them may spread word to the people and I'll be hunted again."
Rima: "But why would you show them the tape?"
"To help her understand why I didn't want to tell her my secret."
Rima: "That we have bugs in our body?"
"That I can control them, in a way where I'm not exactly in control. . ."

Marisa: "I gotta admit, that story sounded creepy."

Alice: "Was that Yukari I just heard? Who was she talking to?"
Marisa: "Forget Yukari. I can't believe that zombies are actually real."
Alice: "I don't think those were zombies."
Marisa: "They act like zombies. But man, feeling all the pain while you're controlled like one? What's that about?"
Alice: "He did say those parasites as he called it, they want the host to feel the pain."
Marisa: "Plus the zombies barf in your mouth too. Gross. This ghost story is sick. You got any more, Grasshopper?"

Marisa: "Come on, please, Grasshopper?"
". . ."
Marisa: "I promise I'll give it back."

Marisa: "He left his cassette player. I'll take that as a yes. More tapes!"

Reimu: "Hm. . ."
Marisa: "What's the matter, Reimu?"
Reimu: "I'll be right back."
Marisa: "Alrighty then."

". . ."
Reimu: "Snake. . ."
"???"
Reimu: "That's your name, isn't it. Or at least it's what they call you."
"What do you want?"
Reimu: "I noticed you've been very quiet while we were listening to that tape."
"I don't want to talk to them yet."
Reimu: "Why not? What's the problem?"
". . ."
Reimu: "Oh, not this again. Grassho- I mean, Snake, if you didn't want to tell me what your problem is, then you shouldn't have shown us that tape in the first place. What was that all about anyway? Parasites? Zombies? Infections?"
"A bioweapon made to eliminate the human race."
Reimu: "By barfing in people's mouth or sticking their hand inside someone's throat?"
"There are other methods."
Reimu: "Like?"
"Cutting wounds, breaking nails, infecting the eyes or ears, anywhere on the body that has an opening. Including. . . well. . . intercourse. . ."
Reimu: "Gross."
"Is that all you wanted to know?"
Reimu: "How come you never told me about this earlier?"
"I was afraid that you'd all be scared. That if you knew my secret, you'd spread the word and cause a panic. Start an uproar and get everyone killed."
Reimu: "Why would I be scared? And why would I tell people is this is so dangerous. If this secret is so dangerous then of course I wouldn't tell anyone. Wait a minute, if this secret is so dangerous to you, why would you tell me now?"
"I was hoping you'd understand without getting your head into it too much."
Reimu: "Well, now it's gotten me more curious about why this is such a big deal."
"Don't you get it? That entire city by now is still overrunned by those monsters. We don't even know how to get to the source yet."
Reimu: "Is that why you're here? In Gensokyo?"
"No. I never knew this place existed until I crashed here. I'm just not sure if I should leave yet."
Reimu: "Why are you staying then? Or rather, why would you leave Gensokyo? You seem to like it here."
". . ."
Reimu: "Okay, I guess you haven't figured it out yet. Or is this something you wouldn't answer either. What about that thing in the story? The one who started the zombie apocalypse? It's obviously the source of the outbreak so why aren't you going after him?"
". . ."

Reimu: "Oh, I get it. You're afraid of it, aren't you?"
"It's complicated."
Reimu: "You don't want to admit it, do you? You're afraid of this thing. It's been chasing after you, isn't it?"
"Do you think this is a joke?"
Reimu: "Well, obviously it is dangerous but that doesn't mean it can't be handled. These outsiders just need to leave it to the professionals."
"You don't get it, do you?"
Reimu: "I get it clearly. This looks like another incident and it's coming to Gensokyo very soon. Normally I don't like solving incidents until they happen but I guess whatever happened to that Jerusalem place, it counts."

Reimu: "Hey!"

"You've underestimated the situation. You have no idea what you're up against. You would all run headlong into Death."
Reimu: "Oh yeah? What makes you think you're better than me?"
"That is besides the point."

Reimu: "You don't know me enough, do you, Snake."
". . ."
Reimu: "Snake, I have faced countless foes who are way more powerful than you. Gods, fairies, youkai, even outsiders. If you think I would lose to this monster, then you're wrong. This monster of yours is no different from the foes I have defeated. Whatever powerful foe that comes next means nothing new to me. There's a reason why the Spell Card Rules exist. It's so that fighting against me would be fair for everyone."
"You clearly don't understand this monster, do you?"
Reimu: "Then help me understand, Snake. Why is this monster after you? Why are you so afraid of it? What is it about this creature that makes it more powerful than me? Answer me, Snake."
". . ."
http://i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah165/ViceN53/Monster%20In%20Silence%202_zpsr0uin7r4.png
Reimu: "Fine. Don't say anything. Just smoke yourself to death for all I care. I'd gladly give the monster to you if you're too stubborn to tell anything. [sigh] I'll be back inside. Don't bother me unless you really want to talk. . ."
http://i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah165/ViceN53/Monster%20In%20Silence%203_zpst7yxs4ly.png
Reimu: "But from the looks of you just standing there, it seems you don't want to. You're loss."
". . ."
Reimu: "By the way, you don't need to be carrying those guns around all the time. Loosen up a little, will you?"

Rima: "How come you wouldn't tell her?"
"I was afraid things would get complicated from there. Either she would try to kill me, or won't."
Rima: "Should she?"
"I don't know. If I die, the beast comes back. If I don't, there's a chance that someone else will."
Rima: "It's a lose-lose situation then."
"I know. That's why I try to keep this secret as best as I could."
