Ulanopo's farewell post is like a dishwasher blaming the restaurant's failure on the customers

It's management's fault. They didn't provide the tools, oversight, advice, or anything else that was needed to make this place work. Riot's entire involvement has been paying for storage/bandwidth, acknowledging praise in SAS, and Bazerka's lunch threads. The mod team needed so much more from Riot for Boards to be a positive place. Instead, they were thrown to the wolves and left to their own devices, which produced gems like "we're just volunteers" and "that thread's been there for a few days so I won't remove it" and "just ping us in Discord." These are things the mod team chose to do, so they're not blameless. But the fault lies with Riot for never giving this place a chance to succeed.

That said, shouting at the people you let down and blaming them for the failures of those who let you down just makes you a disgruntled loon.

That said, it's not your fault. It's not your fault.

Hard disagree.

Ulanpo was an affront to the culture behind GD.

Ulanpo isn't the dishwasher, he's the drunk waiter that keeps vomiting in people's food.

The French boards probably surrendered immediately.

He's pretty good at shifting the blame to mask his own incompetence/power trip.

From his post he states that he hated the users and didn't know why boards existed, but for some reason he was above the moderators in terms of power. This is the definition of a no life loser who seeks any little bit of power he possibly can in his life so he can make other people feel the way he feels all the time.

How exactly did that guy stay on as a herald for so long?

one thing i liked about Ulanopo's post is he did mention something, nondisclosure agreements in place.

since we dont know how for those agreements truly extend they could be used to cover any number of things even now. but i doubt riot is using those NDA's to protect copyright.

so one has to wonder why riot was using those.....

i dont feel my claim of bots being staged to close boards is far off the mark. and from what i hear the bot thing happened in the French before they closed...

Not surprising by that kind of person. Glad he will be remembered (not too much) for what he has been.
