Why is Korea special?

Why do they get a server that only koreans are allowed to play on? Why can't we have that for all servers? Also why is it so difficult to get banned there compared to other regions? Like wtf Riot doing, giving Korea the advantage to just beat everyone every time?

They're the only ones playing on it because in Korea your account is tied to your Social Security number (or whatever Korea's version of that is). Since we don't have one of those, we can't play on it.

What AvantelWings said, .. plus eSports is significantly more popular there than in pretty much any other country.

Each region has its own sort of Lol management going on tat cater to the areas demands as much as possible without having a different game in each. Korea as a country has its own government controlled internet. Players in other regions like here are the reason why its easy to get banned, players in Korea chose to not ban players over cold criticisms.

Korea does well in a lot of E sports, not just league. Its been way bigger and more respected there for awhile so the scene is more developed and sought after. That is the real reason why they do better at league.

in order to use many functions of the internet (including making purchases) in South Korea, you have to have a special registry number, similar to a social security number here in the states. its literally the federal law over there.. Riot doesn't have a say.
