I keep getting random friend requests people NEVER SENT from EUW players I dont know when Im on NA??

Over the last 2 days, I've received 8 friend requests from EUW while my home region is NA.

This wouldn't be weird, considering the new cross-region feature, if they were my friends or people who knew who I was. However, I've never met these people in my life, and they've never met me. One other guy who added me yesterday replied to my "Who are you? You added me from EUW" with just "Idk" so that doesn't really tell me much.

I've asked a few friends, and they've said they've gotten random friend requests too. One friend got about 4 but declined them all so he didn't ask why they added. I went to sleep last night and woke up to 4 completely unknown EUW friend requests... I've asked 2 of them who they are and mentioned they added me, but both of them never added me. What is causing this? Is this because I used to play on EUW and transferred in Season 6? Why do I recognize none of these names? The 2nd person also has a PBE attached to their main account but he's not on my friends list there, I checked myself.

Their "unless I somehow misclicked or something" in the first screenshot wouldn't really be the case either, considering to add cross-region you need to add a region identifier such as #NA1 to add someone else, and because I'm not EUW I couldn't possibly exist in their game for them to click the 'Add Friend' button in post-game. I also have not changed regions since season 6 and even then I didn't have the same IGN or login name. My old EUW IGN isn't taken again, either, so nobody would be adding it.

It's incredibly annoying logging into multiple friend requests which then sometimes break the friends list portion of the client if I interact with the menu, forcing me to restart my client multiple times to play this game with my friends or chat with them.

Is there a way to stop this? I left my house for 2 hours from 11a.m. EST - 12:30p.m. and came back to 2 EUW requests AGAIN. Having to relog because I got friend requests is one of the most annoying bugs I've had to experience in this game since I started in s4. PLEASE stop spamming my client with things people aren't even doing themselves.

I'm getting the same, now up to 9 NA players who have "added" me on EUW but NONE of them have actually sent me requests when I asked them. Very odd.

So I got a bunch of these, too, and thought they were spam, and then one showed up from a mate I used to play with on NA all the time back before OCE existed. Might be if you transferred an account at some point, all your old friends lists are auto adding your new region account somehow?[zombie-brand-clap]

This is happening to me right now. Every time I log in, 1-3 players from BR have friended me. I transferred from the BR server like 3 and a half years ago.

EDIT: Account transfers are down, plus a warning about friends list issues. Looks like they are fixing it.

I have received two random friend adds from EUW in the past week. I have never played there.
