Is there a downside to adding a brief message along with adding friend(s)?

I just played a game as LB support vs. a Taliya support. It was a super fun game because I had a friendly (I assumed it was friendly) competition with the Taliya and we just left bot lane to roam around the map leaving legacy of carry supports.

I thought it was one of those fun games, but I found out she's a LB support player too. Moreover, she PLAYS ALL KINDS OF SUPPORTS LIKE SYNDRA, TALIYA, LEBLANC, ETC. JUST LIKE I DO. I feel like I gotta add this person but he/she probably thought I was some scammer trying to leave a "boost your account today" message.

Long story short, I was wondering if there would be an implementing system where we can add a short description to add friends?
