You are all wrong, it's not lootboxes, it's _surprise mechanics for an _UNFINISHED PRODUCT new gamemode which doesn't reward for playing/winning and might get nexus blitzed sooner or later, you know, that fun gamemode that was supposed to be permanent.
So yeah, EA and Activison have been following questionable morals regarding monetization and fairness. Such a great example for Riot to follow.

My question to the op is how exactly to expect them to make money? You download the game f or free. Skins and champions for the main game you can get.....for free...... Shoot you can use some of the services like name change on the account for free. I have said this once I will say it again..... It's a cosmetic it does not give you anything more then something cute to look at.
TFT is going to be permanent. Theyre already planning a full ranked queue.
Also, little legends are also available in aram. And legally, if they were to remove TFT and scrap little legends they would have to refund everyone their purchase (well, refund the RP)
