Riot's Response to Internal Sexism is Demeaning to Women

I agree that women are underrepresented in this field, but this is not the way to tackle that problem. It's incredibly insulting to any professional to imply that they're incapable of doing their job in a competitive environment; there are plenty of women who are wildly talented, and to suggest that they're somehow lesser and need to be isolated from their peers and given a handout to be successful is an attack on their competency.

Riot, you are the one with the sexism problem. Foisting it onto your playerbase and actively punishing people who want to join your company or break out in the industry doesn't speak highly of your efforts to build an inclusive environment. I didn't make a rape joke in a PowerPoint, your upper management did. Stop implying that everyone's sexist because you have an internal problem, and stop insulting the professionalism of women who are more than capable of working alongside their equally talented male counterparts.

Build your employees up because they make your company better. Bring people of differing backgrounds into your company in order to foster discussion and hear new ideas. Don't cut down the aspirations of professionals who want to work with you because of their genitalia. That's what got you into this mess in the first place.

You handed out official documentation with jokes about sexual assault included in it, and now you're acting like that obnoxious kid at every frat party ever who drops a racist joke in front of a bunch of black dudes and then spends the rest of the night trying way too hard to prove they're not racist. It's exhausting, it's unprofessional, and it's unbelievably condescending.
