I bought Rakan a decent time ago, and had fun playing him for a while.. but then I just got extremely tired of him.
Is it only me that finds him EXTREMELY underpowered, especially compared to other supports. Even when playing with a Xayah, it's incredibly hard to do anything.
-The Q does BARELY any healing. -His W is easily dodged
I don't know why, but I just feel really useless playing him, compared to other supports like Blitzcrank and Taric, and many more.
I almost feel like the bot lane duo should be regeared so he's an AP fighter in jungle and Xayah becomes a mid laner but then again I'm a moron so
I don't feel like he is underpowered, his heal is lackluster sure, but his knock up and ulti are pretty game winning.
Rakan, if mastered, is arguably the most versatile support champion. He can play safe and ardent his adc, or engage heavily or disengage heavily... he has everything you'd want in a support. His engage/disengage is astounding and a good Rakan can basically outplay any other support. I actually think he's almost overpowered rather than underpowered.
if played right, easily one of the most broken supports in the game.
He is somewhat overated
As far as worlds go
He is the only support who can go ardent + engage. Also he isnt nerfed there
He's super annoyingly strong at doing what he does, which is to be a very slippery engage and peel support. There's few things as frustrating as thinking you caught either him or a teamate out because they're a screen away from their team, only have rakan do a super long range mario kart triple dash and punish you for wanting to interact with his team.
If you decide to play safe, he can still make regular attempts to do the equivilent of an alistair combo on you under tower at no risk since he get zip right out instantly and won't take turret aggro if he misses. Even if he doesn't miss he'll only take 1 tower shot at most.
Ofc if you try and duel people or play super passive like a knockoff soraka or whatever as rakan you'll lose, but everything else about him is obnoxious.
if at all he is overpowered when played right, but not underpowered.
But; I'm also talking about his gameplay. Even in good games, he just seems BORING to play. He doesn't give that "fun" you experience with champions. You could even say he doesn't give you the satisfaction of other champions.
