Of course. Always make the cost go up, never down- when the circumstances call for it (global rates not only go up you know). Only increase. And Europe always suffers the most- you already increased it once, a long time ago and never reverted it when the time was right, now you do it again. We'll be spending even more and getting even less RP compared to the other regions. Much meritocracy, such fairness, wow.

You suck, confirmed.

Riot can't help when taxes go up. If the price of say, milk, goes up because sales tax increases (and that store has to pay taxes), do you complain that the store should take the hit and make up the difference for you? No, that'd be silly, because it's not the store's fault, it's just the government raising taxes.

Riot needs to pay those taxes based on what the governments have said so all they are doing is what any other seller of an item would do on an increase of taxes.

EDIT: Let me try to explain this better. The price of RP (I'm using $ because I'm American) is $5 for 650 or so (I think, been a while). If I had to pay 9% tax on that, the price for the RP hasn't changed. It's still $5 for that amount. I just now have to pay $5.45 to cover the $0.45 tax that Riot is paying to my state. Riot isn't getting the money, the state is.

Also, having had to calculate tax into the price for something to keep it at the same price while taking the hit, it's not an easy thing to do. It's much easier to have the customer pay a little more for tax.

Don't forget that they are giving bonus RP for a while because of this.

I definitely haven’t read the full discussion around this, but wanted to add in this:

Super sorry you feel this way. It feels incredibly bad when it seems like you’ve been targeted by things like price changes (either individually or regionally). The only thing I can offer (which seems like others in the thread have been sharing) is an explanation that taxes and natural currency inflation rates are inevitable. I assume we held out as long as we could to do a readjustment, which may have been the wrong call (the other option being gradual price increases yearly etc). However hopefully the upcoming skins and content makes it worth the investment in the long term :).

All that's left is to watch ADs for RP...

Yes your paying more but riot is not getting more. Also fun fact they said they would lower it when the euro came back up guess fucking did not happen. Also blizzard did the same thing last year and many other companies do the same thing.

Im sorry a company just wants to keep making same amount of money it has been making.

Everything goes up in price as time goes on, it's called inflation and that's how the world works. They are giving out extra rp which is something they didn't need to offer so take advantage of that and grow up lol

Why buying anything anyway, after that depressing disaster that Season 8 has been?

EU is constantly shit on. We didn't get the new ranking system despite a lot of us begging for it.

I think you are forgetting that the game is free to play, and it is possible to earn all of the champions without buying RP. I never bought a champion using RP and only made purchases for skins. Riot has made the game more accessible to people without the means to make purchases.(IE the changes to runes) A price increase sucks sure, but expecting them to absorb the cost isn't realistic at all for any company. Riot would report losses to investors if they did something like that. Could they afford to do that technically? Yes, but do you want to see people lose jobs like what happened at Blizzard? I think the price increase is fair, not fun... but fair.

That sounds more like countries with high tax rates suck more than a company trying to make a living.

Are we gonna pretend like prices don't increase IRL?
