If it’s free RP, it’s a scam. The only exceptions are online tournaments sanctioned by Riot.

Fyi not all league urls will have "en" in them. That just indicates that the page is in english.

The real way to tell if something is legit it to look at the domain name.

*.leagueoflegends.com *.riotgames.com *.lolesports.com

^ those are the ones I know of

If they ask you to enter your username and password, enter something random (that doesn't log in your account). If it doesn't have any message saying it's wrong, scam.

I get these kinds of scams in my emails too, asking for info. I usually reply though, with the info of the local PD. Wonder if I've gotten anyone caught yet so far.

Second somebody sends me links like yet free skins or whatever, I unfriend instantly. Do these websites tell people to share it in game or something? I'm lost because quite a few people I've friended in the past sent me these links

I think people just get blinded by greed. They stop thinking rationally and hope by some miracle they really can get that skin they REALLY REALLY wanted without having to spend real life money. I've tried for over an hour to explain to someone that it makes no sense for someone else to give them free handouts for sharing a link, but he seemed to adamant that I share it with everyone. There's no reasoning with people who are desperate enough.
