It's Not Riot's Fault the Community is Terrible

It's just the demographic they pull in.

I've had the unfortunate privilege to meet about 20 or so people IRL who play league of legends, the majority of them have been fellow students/co-workers. 80% of them have had something seriously wrong with them. When I was in college I played with one of my best buddies there, and we discovered another person in our class played, we qued up for 2 normal games with him and the 2nd game he fed his ass off like 2/15. Of course (as friends do) we teased him (not bullied) and meme'd about it to him in class, he then threatened to beat up my buddy and threatened to kill himself. We merged with another class and 5 or 6 of them played aswell. All of these individuals we're man-children making cat noises, fapping to ahri posters, and arguing with eachother over everything in the game thinking they were any more than silver. I got into a conversation with one of them who seemed pretty normal, and he's like "oh yeah i main mid, i'm gold 3" i'm like nice bro i was D5 season 7 we should play together sometime. Someone else i was friends with in the class said he went right back to his fanclub and said "yeah he's not diamond i could school him in a 1v1 ect. ect." Holy fuck these people. The other people i've met have just had extremely bad depression issues and binge play the game because it makes them feel better, AND ALL OF THEM flame the fuck out of other people as soon as they hit X/1/X. The other 10% are just regular fucking people that play it and try to actually have fun rather than turning it into a cult. My point is Riot can't be accountable for the community it drags in because it's pretty attractive to people that want to play anime characters, bash on eachother, and try to get a sense of escape and fulfillment through means of pretending to be a god because they made 'X' play on a video game that in reality no one outside of the entertainment industry that makes money off league really gives a shit, and act superior to other people because their life is that shitty.

TL;DR: Riot pulls in a childlike demographic. Riot can't do anything to change the community, and the community of people that are fucked up are just naturally fucked up IRL.
