Is cass w supposed to prevent Illaoi from ulting?

Ik its stop me from using w, but I was on a cass w and couldn't ult, no other cc was used on me. Cost us the game. Is it unintended? Because if its intentional that doesn't make any sense, ult doesn't actually move me anywhere. All she does is jump in place.

Cass glues your feet to the floor with her W. Illaoi can't jump with feet glued to the ground. I think that it is technically working as intended although I think it's kinda dumb.

Singed's glue does the same thing, grounded is kind of strict as an effect.

Grounded prevent's every type of ability that either makes you jump, dash, blink or become displaced voluntarily. Illaoi's ult causes her to jump into the air before landing. Cass's w grounds her, preventing her from doing that animation, preventing her from using the ability.

Must be an unintended bug.

I've seen plenty of Illaoi's get snared by Lux Q and then ult during that root.

Root effects also apply a ground effect that prevent mobility spells from being cast (along with straight up locking movement) which means grounding effects shouldn't be blocking the ult.

I mean its called leap of faith and since grounded stops movement and a leap is movement it makes sense.

Grounded and snare effects also prevent Lee Sin from using his W on himself even though he isn't dashing.

Its probably the same idea as Nami bubble being a knockup for Yasuo.

Did some quick testing for you, and found something surprising. If you do Illaoi W point blank it doesn't trigger Sudden Impact. Neither does her ult. So I'd say there is some inconsistency :P
