Please slow the game pace down. Stop trying to make League of Legends into Fortnite.

All of these obvious directions that Riot has taken the game - quick games, arbitrary decision making, global buffs on objectives, lots of damage, lots of CDR, mobility everywhere - it all stems out of their desire to make League of Legends into a quicker more condensed game.

From Riots perspective, this is understandable because they feel threatened by Fortnite and similar BR games that offer a multiplayer experience in a smaller nugget. And as their player base grows up and becomes busy adults they're also going to gravitate towards quicker games.

And it would be so nice if it was that easy Riot, if you could just make some simple changes and make the game quicker but still just as charming and just as fun. But it's time to realize that you CAN'T. League of Legends was not built to be Fortnite, and you cannot change it into Fortnite without sacrificing many of the things that made League special!

I've been a player since Season 1, I don't mind losing if it was a good game where we got chances to fight back and use our strengths to our advantage. But games like that are rare these days. League of Legends was built to be a team-based strategy game. A little quicker pace than DOTA, but still meaty enough to make you feel like you're getting a whole competitive ARPG experience every game.

Oh, and speaking of team-based, a little side complaint - why is there no team matchmaking in the game anymore? There used to be a 5v5 queue where you could gain rank as a team. Now they've replaced that with the terrible Flex system which more often than not doesn't allow me and my friends to queue together, and also doesn't allow us to gain rank together. Clash has been in the works for over a year. The game is going to be dead before it comes out at this point. How big of a joke is it that a team-based game doesn't have matchmaking for teams?

The average game time for most players is just above 30 mins. Like game pace is fine players don't want 40 min games since it's too long and every time it happens there are much more complains about games going on too long.

Game pace is perfectly fine. Snowballing still exists, but they've introduced comeback mechanics that simply didn't exist before, so mistakes you make are much more pronounced.
