I played Force Collection for a couple of years. I just get bored with any kind of grind games.

Go play Castlevania Simon's Destiny. It's a GZdoom Castlevania 1 remake that's pretty cool that finished development around a week or so ago.

You should try Hard Corps: Uprising (Xbox 360/PS3). Very true to Contra-style gameplay while also adding some progression aspects. Still made by Konami too.
