What if i don't want to change my username that's been my life ever since i created it

I love my username and it's been with me through out a lot of my games and accounts, the username is my life and i want to be known for who i am for, not like theses meme usernames but my username is special to me and a lot of people know me for this name, i met some at one point with my username that knew me right away due to my username so it's good to be noticed! but what if i don't change my username and leave this unchecked, am i going to lose my account?

Sorry, but in short, it's sounding like you'll lose your username. At the end of the day, Riot likely made this decision because no one ever sees your username and forcing you to change it doesn't affect their revenue. Basically, they don't care about the inconvenience it'll cause you, and they know you'll cave. At the very least, it doesn't affect your in-game summoner name. Still, that's a lousy excuse for a poor system on Riot's end.

I'm not sure if you'd lose your account, though. You'll just probably be locked out until you change it.
