Remove Stopwatch ...

Hello, I know this discussion is popular and people say its not broken item. But it really is. I could understand stopwatch being 600g item, sure.. But as a rune, for everyone ?? Its awful to play any play making champs, like Thresh for example. You go for a play, Flash + Hook, catch the adc and seems like an easy kill, taking only 2 tower shots. Next thing you know, the adc uses stopwatch and u die for nothing. Perhaps this example isn't really the best. but 6 min zhonyas for non mage champ is really ridicilous. Sure it's a 1 time use, but that 1 time can change the whole game.

I wish riot would really remove it as a rune and keep it as an item only. Also, no reason for hate comments. It's just my opinion afterall :)

It's no different than playing around knowing that the enemy has flash off CD. So how do we deal with flash? We bait it out, then we go for the real play. Same concept with stopwatch.

The difference being that now they have stopwatch AND flash. They can even use stopwatch in between flash cooldowns.

Your options in that particular group:

Start with a 600g item with a powerful one-time active.
get a 350g item for free no later than 10 minutes, but cannot buy it sooner
have an Out of Combat Channel Flash when Flash is on cooldown.

"Bait it out" isn't counter play. It is the user making a mistake that has nothing to do with what you did in response to its activation. It's the same problem as Wind Wall and Riposte. It has nothing to do with what you did in response to those skills.

I don't mind having stop watch but it annoys me as a mages main , the only race who is supposed to use it , but then suddenly playing against a Yasuo who uses it and sells it for potions or annything it's supposed to be for mages only , I agree about removing the rune , paying 600 Gold to get is not a problem at all , but the rune ..

its not only for mages because it builds into other items like GA and stoneplate

Yeah and that's what should be change , it gives the same effect Zhonia gives , why is it being built into 2 other items ? they should keep for Zhonia only to dicourage people buying it

I actually agree with the body of the thread, but I downvoted you because you said this. People that can't put their opinions out there with confidence and have to hide behind "it's just an opinion guys!" are people that piss me off. Next time, have some damn backbone.

If all you cared about was putting your opinion out there for others to see, you wouldn't care if you were wrong. You don't need to always be right. What you do need is the pride to put your opinion out there without any strings attached - and the humility to withdraw it only after you've been proven wrong.

It's okay to be wrong occasionally, but it's not okay to get defensive before anyone else has said anything yet.

It should just be the normal Zhonyas effect with a longer cooldown if we put it on Seekers.

Would be a way to finally show assassins how bullshit item 3155 is.

i don't think its an op item. I do agree though that it's annoying. I think , as you said, Riot should not remove the item from the game, but should remove the item as a free item from the runes.

when all of the enemy team can negate nearly any ultimate or negate any tower dive it removes a lot of fun from the game. All in champs are having a hard time because it can take too long to kill someone when they blow stopwatch.

Remove the new run system! they honestly are bad for the game! nothing but problems. We need the old stat stick again.

This item should be completely removed. It once again promotes passive, low skill playing. New rune in resolve tree that is coming is another bullsht rune that makes you just sit in lane safely(DMG reduction from next 3 spells and attacks). This game literally turned into tutorial that guides baddies and casuals by the hand to higher elo. Pick that class of champs that are mainly right click and survive the lane with all these tools to wreck havoc by default with items you have.
